Concord Flying Club Activities
  • Thursday Night at the Hangar. Each week members take turns bringing dinner to the clubhouse. Come join us this Thursday for an evening of lying, bragging, and bonhomie, and to look over our planes. We get together around 6:30, at the clubhouse, located on the east ramp at the end of hangar row A.
  • Landing Contest. This year's Landing Contest will feature spot-landing, ribbon cutting, and the ever popular flour bomb. A pot-luck lunch at the hangar follows - a great opportunity for members' families to get together.
  • Crab Feed. The Concord Flying Club's crab is rated among the best in the Bay Area. Fun for the whole family, next year's gala will be Saturday January 29, 2011.
  • Installation Dinner. Another social gathering for members and their spouses, this is our annual installation of newly elected officers. Usually held in early May, this dinner has been hosted at such fine restaurants as Zio Fraedo's, the Savoy, and Oakhurst.
  • Oshkosh. We have an annual expedition to Oshkosh. Please contact Jim Casper for more information.
  • Business Meeting. Business meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month. Among other club business, time is dedicated to read applications of prospective members.
